It’s THAT Day Again…

Guys, do you know what day it is? It’s #MSWL day. Know what that means? It stands for Manuscript Wish List. This is the hashtag AGENTS and EDITORS use to let querying writers know what they’d like to see in their inboxes. And on #MSWL day, agents and editors update their wish lists on the hashtag.

#MSWL is NOT a place for writers to query agents. It’s NOT a place for authors to promote their books. It’s also NOT a place to chat with agents or editors. If you have a question about their #MSWL, tweet them, but don’t put the hashtag in your tweet or remove # and just have MSWL. That way, your tweet won’t clog the stream.

Do NOT post a pitch about your book asking for agents to contact you if interested. #MSWL is not for pitching. It’s for AGENTS and EDITORS to show querying writers what they’re excited to see in hopes of receiving some of the stories on their wish lists.

You can also go to the website:, but the #MSWL is probably more current, especially on the #MSWL day.

Today, of all days, you want to follow this hashtag. Apparently, there’s going to be some sort of announcement. I have no idea what it is, but I’m excited to find out.

So, in case you missed the point of this post, please don’t write anything on the #MSWL unless you’re an AGENT or an EDITOR at a publishing house.

Get it?
Got it?

UPDATE: My next available editing slot is November. I’m offering up to $100 off a developmental/line editing combo or a manuscript evaluation report for this slot. Contact me at: for details. Book now.
